Protecting the Arctic Legacy Expedition

The “Protecting the Arctic Legacy Expedition” is a small-vessel tourism project proposed for the Canadian Arctic. The vessel would travel through the Northwest Passage and visit selected areas when weather, sea ice, and local conditions allow. The project is under review by the Nunavut Impact Review Board to ensure that tourism activities are carried out safely and with respect for wildlife, Inuit communities, land use, cultural heritage, and the Arctic environment.
